There are many options today if you are choosing spectacles for your vision correction. You must consider the prescription, for example whether bifocals are required, or whether you are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism. Several types and designs of frames exist. It is important to choose the correct type of lens and lens coating for the prescription required. An eye doctor and an experienced optician are an excellent team for helping you choose the correct spectacle and lens combination for your prescription. The eye doctor will do the eye exam and determine the prescription that will help your eyes and vision perform optimally. The optician will be able to use that information to advise you of the best frame, lenses and coating for that prescription and for you.
